ABOUT NEW EAST

Projects that unites New East was founded in 2016 to change the cultural landscape and the physical appearance of the region. It all started with local activities and exchange projects with other countries.

The organization's work now extends beyond the region and the country, developing four areas - non-governmental culture, non-formal education, media space and community engagement programs.

Our main priorities are the development and access to new education in Eastern Europe (and the New East), the promotion of public participation and positive change that helps develop the cultural landscape of the Post-Soviet region.

Our goals

FOR NEW EDUCATION, ENGAGED CITIZENS AND POSITIVE CHANGE

To promote positive change in the region by fostering good practice in Eastern Europe

Involving a wide variety of social groups in an open dialogue (especially ethnic minorities and young people)

Creating platforms for collaborative solutions to improve the cultural landscape of the region

Creating and developing programs focused on social positive change, interaction, and inclusion

Support for youth and independent creative initiatives

To raise themes of relevance and depth to eastern European society - equality, disinformation, democratic principles, freedom of speech etc

Development of non-state culture

Creating accessible non-formal educational programs (especially for young people) to develop media literacy, journalism, critical thinking and analysis

Creating platforms for international cooperation, exchanges to find long-term positive solutions
